Young Adults Prayer Requests
Welcome to the Young Adults Prayer Requests. Posted here are the needs and intentions of our members and their friends and families. We are continuing to develop this section of the site and will soon make it easier to add you own intentions to this list. Until then, if you have an intention to add, please e-mail Lance at lance@lancesworld.com.

Please keep patients of cystic fibrosis and those waiting for transplants in your prayers, particularly [name withheld]. She is a very sweet, strong (spiritually), beautiful and intelligent girl.

Please pray for the up-coming October Rachel's Vineyard retreats -- Pray for focus, strength, humility and generosity for the team members who will be leading the retreats as well as prayers that the Holy Spirit will lead broken hearts to healing and conversion. Also, please pray for more hearts and minds willing to share their gifts, talents and services will be drawn to the Post Abortion Healings ministries, such as Project Rachel and Rachel's Vineyard. The need for post abortion healing is going to grow, especially as society begins to wake up to the reality of the pain of abortion. Wouldn't it be nice if the Catholic Church was the strongest voice and hand to reach out in compassion and mercy to those hurting from abortion?

Please pray for Bill McCarthy, a dear, close cousin that I grew up with back in Boston who was diagnosed in July with a highly aggressive brain cancer. It is inoperable because of its location, and although he is getting excellent care, the prognosis is extremely grim and my cousin and all who love him are really struggling with what will likely happen to him, with how his children will cope, with faith issues, and just with daily living. Billy is 36 years old, a rock-solid, wonderful guy and an extraordinary father. Please pray for Billy as well as for his family: his wife Heather, his 3 small children, Liam (7), Tommy (5) and Caitlyn (almost 2), his parents Bill and Laurie, and his siblings, Peter, Kathleen and Stephen.

On July 20, 2007, Timmy was injured in a terrible car accident in New Hampshire. Tim was driving two friends home after a night of hanging out. Taking the off ramp at Exit 9N, 93 North, Tim took the turn too fast, the police say, and the roads were wet. It had rained all day. He hit the curb, and his beloved Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled over. Tim, who was not wearing his seatbelt, went through the moon roof. He broke his back and collar bone, his hand and multiple ribs. They have told us multiple times that most people would not have survived this crash. While blessed to be alive, the road to recovery is long and costly. Please pray for him and for his family. You can learn more about Tim and follow his journey at http://www.fortimmy.org/.

Please pray for my cousin Elizabeth. She is only 22 years old, and is in the hospital with severe damage to her liver. Please pray that if it be God's will, that she may fully recover and find management for her pain. If her liver doesn't repair itself, she will not be able to tolerate any form of painkillers, which could mean a lot of suffering for her. As of now, one tablet of Aleve (or any other drug) would kill her. Most of all, please pray that she may be prepared for whatever happens.
