Welcome to the St. Dominic's Young Adults Group! As a community of Catholic adults in their 20s and 30s, the purpose of St. Dominic's Young Adults Group is to encourage you to connect your faith to your everyday life, and to spend time with people who share your values.

Important Upcoming Events

  • Fr. Xavier will join us on March 5 at 7:30 p.m. for a special YAG presentation - "Did Jesus Have to Die?" It is always an honor when Fr. Xavier joins our group, so please come show your support for our amazing Pastor.
  • On March 12 at 7:30 p.m. we will be joined by Fr. Michael Hurley and Scott Moyer as they talk to us about "Embracing Our Inner 'Prodigal' Child: Rediscovering the Sacreament of Reconciliation."
  • There will be no meeting on the Wednesday of Holy Week. Instead, we encourage all young adults to attend the Lenten Reconciliation Retreat at 7:30 p.m. in the Church on Wednesday, March 19.
  • The annual Spring Retreat is coming up April 11-13. This year's theme is "Awakening the Saint Within." All young adults are encouraged to attend. We will be at a much nicer retreat center this year, and even better, the price to attend has fallen by almost 20%. Register Online Now!

Recent News

  • Our Young Adults Group put together a team to compete in this year's Chinese New Year Treasure Hunt. Even though our team didn't win, we had a great time. Thanks to everyone who participated.
  • A very special thanks to Chris and Maureen Corgiat for their two-part presentation on "Sec & Love" on February 13 & 20.
  • Thanks to all those who joined us at Yosemite in September! This was definitely one of the best trips in recent memory. (show/hide photo)

Spirituality

Our group revolves primarily around our Wednesday Night Meetings. The Young Adults meet on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm in the Parish Hall, unless otherwise noted in the calendar. On the last Wednesday of each month we celebrate our Month End Mass, which takes place in the Lady Chapel at 7:30 p.m.

Many of us attend Mass on Sundays at 5:30 pm. Afterwards, we normally mingle near the front of the church to the left of the podium. If you are new to St. Dominic's, please find us and introduce yourself! All are welcome.

To stay informed about what meetings and events are coming up, make sure you subscribe to the Young Adult weekly email list. If you have any questions, contact us at youngadults@stdominics.org.

Service

We offer monthly volunteer opportunities at Laguna Honda Hospital, as well as other service activities throughout the year. We recently assisted with the cleanup and restoration of a convent for the Sisters of the Presentation. Other service endeavors have included collecting items for troops in Iraq, building homes in Mexico, and volunteering at the San Francisco Food Bank.

Social

The St. Dominic's YAG strives to provide a good blend of activities for our members. Throughout the year, we plan and provide a variety of events and activities that offer opportunities for spiritual growth, service, and socializing. Social activities include our annual Yosemite camping trip, the annual Muir Beach Picnic and Bonfire, occasional dinners following the Sunday 5:30 p.m. mass, happy hours, wine & cheese socials, dances, bowling and more.

As the St. Dominic's Young Adult's Group...

We are single and married young adults in
   our twenties and thirties.
We gather in an open forum to explore our Catholic
faith and learn from one another.
We offer social, spiritual, and service events for
people at any stage of their faith journey.
We strive to integrate our faith into our daily lives,
growing closer to God and each other.
We rejoice in the many blessings of our parish,
and seek to share our gifts in gratitude.
