Wednesday Night

Young Adults Rosary - Wednesday, September 08, 2010, 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM, Friar's Chapel
Note:  Because of the renovations being made to the Lady Chapel's stained glass windows, the Rosary before the Wednesday night meeting is now being held in the Friar's Chapel (located behind the altar).

The purpose of the Rosary is to help keep in memory certain principal events or mysteries in the history of our salvation, and to thank and praise God for them. After a busy day, nothing calms the mind and soul like praying the rosary. Join the Young Adults in the Lady Chapel as we pray this beautiful prayer before our weekly meeting. Instructions and rosaries are provided. Everybody is welcomed! (Instructions located on small table in middle of the chapel if prayers have started). Join us for the last rosary of the year as we prepare for the birth of our Saviour!

The Bible, Start to Finish: Part 2 of 2 - Wednesday, September 08, 2010, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM, Parish Hall

What is with all those "boring" books of the law? Who are Amos, Hosea, Haggai, and Zephaniah? Why are there some stories repeated several times in different books, and in seemingly no particular order? How can we learn more about Jesus in the Old Testament? Where exactly were the communities that Paul and others were writing to, and why were they important? What is eschatology, and what does the Book of Revelation really mean?

The Bible is the best-selling book of all time. It's quite likely that you've owned at least one copy in your lifetime, if not several. But how many people have actually taken the time to study it? Reading the Bible cover-to-cover seems a daunting task, and many who have attempted it have probably not made it much past the first few chapters of Leviticus. But is this even the best way of reading the Bible? Come join us for a two-week series in which we will take a whirlwind tour through the Bible, from the beginning of time through to the end of time. Join presenters and fellow young adults, Michael Huxley and Lance Johnson, and together we'll explore parts of the Bible you may have never paid attention to, and rediscover parts of the Bible you thought you knew.

Have questions of your own that you want answered? Bring them with you, or better, submit them early to Lance Johnson (lance@lancesworld.com).
