Young Adults Group

The core activity for the Young Adults is our weekly Wednesday night meeting held at 7:30 PM in the Parish Hall unless otherwise noted. Meetings are primarily educational in nature and meant to help people better understand some aspect of the Catholic faith. We draw speakers from within the young adult community and the parish, the Dominican community, as well as bring in outside speakers. All are welcome, and if you are attending your first meeting, let the greeters know, so they can get to know you and introduce you to others!

We plan a variety of social events that offer opportunities for fun and fellowship several times each and every month:

• Monthly happy hours
• Monthly dinners
• Monthly hikes
• Wine and cheese socials
• Ice cream socials!!!
• Pub trivia
• Annual variety show
• Annual Yosemite trip

Of course, spiritual enrichment and development is a central focus and it comes in a number of forms, including:

• Monthly Young Adults mass
• Annual spring retreat on the Russian River
• Pre-Weds. Night Meeting rosary in the Lady Chapel with loaner beads and instructions for newbies!
• Sunday 5:30 mass—which we've informally claimed—and mingling by the pulpit afterward

We do a number of group service activities throughout the year and also publicize one-off service opportunities via the weekly email and/or Facebook.  We are always looking for new ideas for serving others in the community, so please contact us at youngadults@stdominics.org with any.
